Running B Bucking Bull Breeding Stock
Sale/Dispersal
The family groups trace back to a foundation cow or group of females that were closely related.  Comments on the strengths of each family are
provided.

Banteng Family – These cattle all trace back to Mossleigh Queen, a ½ Banteng, ½ Brangus cow raised in Texas.  The Banteng bull was from Bert
Wheeler’s Cooley Ranch in Texas.  Banteng’s are the native wild jungle cattle in Indonesia.   They are a separate species, Bos javanicus.  The
tamed cattle have been selected for speed and are raced in pairs pulling a chariot.  These teams can reach 40mph.  They respond well to quiet
handling but easily revert back to wild behavior.  They contribute heat tolerance and speed to their offspring.  To my knowledge, this is the only
Banteng blood available for bucking stock.  It may prove to be the “secret ingredient”.

Chiangus Family – These cattle represent the original tan color variant in the Chiangus that are now relatively uncommon.  The infusion was used
to increase size and athletic ability.  This family produced a successful bucking bull on the minor circuit and is characterized by high kick.  These
cattle can be quite “active” under pressure.

carcass quality to improve the versatility of those animals not retained for bucking purposes.  The crosses can be thick, muscular cattle that are
rather quick with an active temperament.  They all trace back to a ¾ Wagyu, ¼ Black Angus cow.
